The Power of Written Communication

Sir Winston Churchill famously said: “History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.”

Perhaps he didn’t mean literally, but as communicators we place high importance on the written word – which forms the basis of communication and how we understand each other.

With the federal election drawing near, the newspapers are full of election articles and opinion pieces. Some people have already made up their minds about the candidates and their policies, but over the course of the election campaign, written opinions will impact on individual choices and hence shape the course of a nation.

What words are you using to describe your products and services? Do they build trust and credibility? If your company was represented by Julia Gillard or Tony Abbott, how would you convince people to “vote” for you and your services?

As with all communications campaigns, it’s important to get the words right, and that requires a well-thought-out strategy.

Let’s talk about your business!
