Avocado Group

Avocado Group provides inspired event cuisine for corporate events, gala dinners and weddings, at a range of Sydney's finest venues.

Avocado Group had just moved to a new location within Tattersalls Club Sydney and was in need of a modern brand refresh to reflect the creativity and inspiration of its catering. A branding extension strategy was also required, to incorporate the numerous venues Avocado Group partners with to cater for events.

Zadro Communications worked closely with Avocado Group to brainstorm a branding concept and tagline that conveyed the caterer's values and goals. Our in-house graphic designer interpreted the brief and developed a number of great options for Avocado Group, which were fine-tuned until the client was completely happy with the result. Zadro Communications also developed a style guide.

The Avocado Group team is now embracing its stylish new look which has been rolled out through all the new collateral, including the catering team's banquet jackets, catering vans, e-newsletter and the upcoming website refresh and has resulted in lots of positive feedback about the new branding.

Carer Assist

Carer Assist, a program by the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW, is a support service for families and carers of people with a mental illness.

Carer Assist needed to ascertain the effectiveness of its services and carer opinions as to what improvements could be made. They contacted Zadro Communications to manage an Evaluation Survey, including its research methodology, all communications to carers and families, and analysis of the results.

Zadro Communications wrote a strategic survey to acquire clear and relevant data, while presenting it in a friendly and sympathetic tone. An e-newsletter template was designed with vibrant and positive imagery that matched Carer Assist's brand identity (see below). Zadro managed the announcement of the survey and encouraged responses through a series of these e-newsletters. Finally, Zadro analysed the results, drew key findings and presented Carer Assist with a detailed report.

The e-newsletters appealed to readers who responded to the survey with enthusiasm. Zadro's survey questions produced valuable information for Carer Assist, including plenty of constructive feedback. The project strengthened the relationship between Carer Assist and its carers, while providing the organisation with renewed direction and focus to improve its services.

Fusion Entertainment

Fusion Entertainment is a rapidly growing production company that services the corporate and meeting and events industries with exceptional lighting, audio and video for live, corporate and major events.

Director Paul Walton identified a gap between the high quality of work Fusion Entertainment was producing for its clietns and its out-of-date website. Paul decided to take his business to the next level with a revamp of his website for a more professional look and to boost marketing activities.

Initially, Zadro Communications worked closely with Fusion Entertainment in a focused session to understand and articulate the key messages, the nuances behind the brand, services and the communication objectives. The information was used to design the website architecture, create a new tagline and write copy for the new service categories and page suggestions. Fusion Entertainment had a clear visual conception of their new site. By taking the core elements of their brief and adding suggestions, Zadro Communications was able to produce a result that combined the essence of the client's vision with a professional touch.

The result is a functional, attractive site that reflects the true nature of the unique brand and clearly articulates Fusion Entertainment's service offering.

NAGCAS

NAGCAS is the National Association for Graduate Career Advisory Services, the national network of careers services in tertiary education. NAGCAS provides support, information and opportunities for professional development to graduate career practitioners and offers a highly valuable perspective to government, industry and media.

NAGCAS's objective was to be sought after in political and media discussions for its expertise in graduate career issues. It needed to boose its image, its offering to members and its profile as a leading advocacy body. Its website was outdated and didn't reflect the dynamic work and strong commitment of the organisation.

As a first step, Zadro Communications conducted an analysis of the organisation's vision, values and objectives, which was compiled, refined and organised into a Communications Plan. This plan clearly set out the new strategy for the growth, development and direction the organisation.

One of the key strategies was the development of an informative and useful website for all stakeholders. Zadro Communications set to work rewriting the copy for the site, ensuring all the key messages were clear. The website needed to be relevant, inviting, and informative whilst encouraging communication amongst the members.

The result is a contemporary website that demonstrates the professionalism, motivation and national reach of this respected association. The site is a gateway to information and the latest research on graduate career services. It supports Career Practitioners with information on events and member details and most importantly provides a strong representation of their profession.

Public Relations

A List Guide

A List Guide is the A-Z Guide for organising evens in Australia. It is a stylish and comprehensive guide to the best venues, suppliers and activities available. It is available in a printed guide covering all of Australia and online at www.alistguide.com.au.

A List Guide invested heavily in the development and launch of a new interactive and web 2.0 site. The new site boasts many new features including an Industry Leaders section, real-time reservations at restaurants, job board and more. The A List Guide Australia 2010 book launched in January has 30% new content.

Zadro Communications carried out a three-month public relations campaign to promote the existence of the new book and website. Media releases were written and distributed to over 75 media outlets across Australia including industry specific, regional, mass and online media. Fifty industry leaders were approached to be featured in the industry leaders section of the website. Copy was edited and images were collated for this. We also launched the A List Guide's Facebook and Twitter account; we wrote content, angles and suggested the promotion of the social media channels through other communication mediums.

Media took up the story. Examples include the new book listed as a 'hot product' on a major industry website and included as a story item on numerous e-newsletters. A major Asia-Pacific media house distributed the story as well. The social media strategy was launched, and copy for up and coming wall posts regarding competitions was written. In the first week of launching, the website contained 15 profiles of industry leaders.

With a few big companies under its wing, it was time to spearhead growth and propel the company into the next chapter.

Zadro Communications facilitated a COMM*BAT™! strategic planning session. COMM*BAT was designed by the team at Zadro Communications especially for medium sized businesses to help them articulate their goals, determine their strengths and set down a new direction for their future. The COMM*BAT supports the company to do an analysis of where they are now, where they want to go and how to get there.

A 12-month comprehensive and strategic communications plan was presented back to IMC Communications two weeks after the COMM*BAT session. The plan dealt with the decisions that needed to be made and set the company on a path for success and growth. IMC's plan included the instigation of management meetings and structures, the priorities for product development and promotion, internal communication channels and all marketing and communications activities.

Jivve, a unique, fast growing car buying business, initially came to Zadro Communications to get support with the launch of the business.

The enthusiastic Jivve team knew what kind of company it wanted to be, but needed help to develop a vision that communicated its profile and objectives in a concise and targeted way. So we engaged them in a COMM*BAT™!.

We rallied the troops and spent a full-day COMM*BAT™ session with the Jivve team to devise their corporate identity, key messages, values and to articulate its service offering.

The final result was an original and dynamic company name, logo, tagline and a suite of communication products that reflect the energy and identity of the company, and strong branding differentiating it from its industry competitors.

Jivve's Corporate Identity was supported by a detailed Communications Plan that mapped out the company's development over the next year. It recommended strategies and project plans for the launch of Jivve, merchandising, website development and public relations campaigns. Jivve then felt confident about its direction and had a list of priorities from which to execute the key tasks.

The Strategic Communications Plan has been rolled out via Zadro Communications' Integrated Communications Management of Jivve. GlobileNet

GlobileNet provides office communication products and services, including system design and management, telecom products and expert consultation.

As manager of integrated marketing communications for GlobileNet, Zadro Communications identified a need to position GlobileNet as an expert and thought leader in its field. A series of White Papers were planned to offer specialist insights and guidance on key issues affecting office communications.

Issues of concern to the office communications industry and areas where education were lacking were first identified. These included data storage and backup, cloud computing, VoIP and energy consumption. Research was conducted in collaboration with GlobileNet and White Papers were written in a clear, engaging and informative style to appeal to readers. Finally, professional documents were designed and the papers were distributed via a logical campaign of emails and through the GlobileNet website.

The White Papers succeeded in capturing the attention of recipients with an item of genuine value. Qualified leads were engaged, GlobileNet emerged as a leader in the industry and forged strong relationships with clients seeking expertise.

Almost Famous

Almost Famous, teambuilding and corporate events, approached Zadro Communications for support with their launch. They had an exceptional product but needed to be introduced to their target market.

As part of their Integrated Communications Management, we worked alongside Almost Famous to develop key messages and its offering. After writing the web copy, we created a tagline to sum up Almost Famous and a diverse range of collateral.

A flyer was designed which replicated a vinyl record which received a very positive response. We also redesigned the Almost Famous website, created exhibition stand banners, fact sheets, case studies, web ads and an e-newsletter.

One of the aims of the collateral design was to portray the message that Almost Famous is no ordinary teambuilding experience. Their strong branding and unique collateral sets them apart from their competitors and gives them a unique edge in the market.

Hopping Mad

After 11 successful years in business, this Sydney based web and graphic design company asked Zadro Communications to do a 'Gordon Ramsey' on them. Come into their 'kitchen', have a look at all the nooks and crannies, analyse what we saw and provide recommendations on what they could do to move to the next stage - growth and expansion.

We rolled out our unique organisational culture program that involved interviewing all the staff and directors. We presented the findings warts and all (without the Ramsey language!) to the Directors alongside a ton of practical workable recommendations.

We worked through internal communication strategies, ways of resolving issues, how to encourage new ideas, designed a staff meeting, cleared the spider webs and injected a new enthusiastic energy into the company.

Copy and Design - Corporate ID revamp

CDS Security

CDS Security needed to boost its image as a quality security provider for the private and public sector. It was already satisfying existing customers, but wanted a more professional face to bring in new clients.

We started by giving the existing logo a modern face-lift. The new colours and enhanced logo were then used to design a suite of communications products including business cards, with compliments slips, letterhead and envelope, stickers, signs, t-shirts and more.

The revamp also included a high quality corporate profile which would easily communicate to potential customers what services and products CDS Security provides. The security provider wanted a memorable 'leave behind' piece of collateral that would strongly support their sales calls. The corporate profile needed to be clear, professional and explain the company's capabilities and unique selling points quickly and efficiently. We chose a six sided fold out brochure to demonstrate their point of difference and full range of services. The unusual size is intriguing to the reader as they open up the corporate profile to reveal more about CDS Security.

The corporate profile is not only informative; it includes a strong call to action and consistent messaging and branding. The use of the colours, images and words are followed through in a new website ensuring a seamless introduction to the company.

The new Corporate Identity was then translated to a completely new website, with refreshed copy that gives a clear and concise message about their service offering.

GlobileNet

GlobileNet exists in the office telecommunication space dominated by large Telcos. The company needed copy and design that broke away from the usual telco advertising experience and establish themselves with a strong point of difference in product and service.

Their magazine ad and DL campaign is built from an image that is synonymous with the name of the company - GlobileNet. A bright, dynamic glowing globe with technological symbols radiate out off the page catching the readers eyes. Then the simple offer and call to action complete the communication. The target media has been carefully selected to reach potential clients.

We are currently working on revamping the GlobileNet website with stronger branding, a more user friendly interface and a Content Management System for easy and regular updating.

When the leading event organising directory was launching their inaugural national A LIST Guide Australia 2009, they came to us to conduct a public relations campaign to boost awareness and use of their new product around Australia.

We produced a campaign of media releases targeting the mass and trade media. We leveraged our strong media contacts in the Meetings and Events Industry with this great story and A LIST Guide received coverage in an array of publications including Main Event, Spice News, CIM News Bytes and Travel Daily.

In a successful strategy to build the profile of Amy Merriman, Managing Director A LIST Guide, we got a great result with Australian Financial Review Magazine doing a first page profile.

Youthsafe

Youthsafe asked Zadro Communications to help launch SafeClub, their new sports safety training program for community sports clubs. The launch plan needed to be implemented in time for an event at the Department of Sport and Recreation and have strong word of mouth marketing strategies.

We designed a strategy which included the development of collateral, key messages and copy to promote the SafeClub program and its benefits. We developed collateral specific to the different phases of the program; prepared SafeClub to respond to enquiries; directed traffic to the website for downloads; and ensured an easy way for Sporting Associations to promote and roll out the training.

We created an A4 brochure and flyer as part of the collateral and marketing for SafeClub. The flyer was designed to replicate a tennis ball, based on the logo of SafeClub. Templates were created to help SafeClub respond to enquiries and to assist clubs in promoting the training, all encompassing the same SafeClub "look" and ensuring consistent messaging and branding.

Upon completion of the project, Youthsafe was so pleased with the result that we were then asked to redesign the SafeClub training workbooks.
